By scanning these cards in game, you can unlock exclusive furniture in the Nook Catalogue and invite new villagers to live on your island!

To use the cards, simply access the Nook Stop computer at resident services and select "Invite Amiibo camper". This requires the player to have built the campsite.

The character you scan will appear the same day at your campsite. After 3 visits and having completed the villagers request, they'll ask to move to your island.

To unlock furniture and posters, simply scan the cards at Harv's Island.

An easy way to get rid of villagers you don't like!
If you have a villager you aren't keen on and there is no room left on your island for a new house, you can easily choose which villager to remove by using Amiibo. After 3 visits, your campsite villager will be willing to move in and this will allow you to select a villager you want to move out to swap with.
